PROCESS
My work stems from the intrigue of exploring natural settings. I wander and wonder through natural landscapes, needing to find new pieces of wildlife. My body becomes a part of my work, understanding and thinking of the ways it bends and moves in order to get into new natural spaces. I am constantly capturing the places I explore, these images becoming the next step of making work.
With my practice being a combination of mixing the natural and man made world, I find myself recording the times they combine throughout the research and making as a whole. Producing juxtapositions of material and interest is what drives the practice forward.
The images taken are taken back to the studio and reviewed as negative space, a separate from to understand the fluid shape. These organic shapes are then translated into other medias, most recently becoming forms in acrylic perspex.
